Who Should Use the Hot Fix?

This Hot Fix should be used if you are running Afaria 5.5 Service Pack 2 system (Server and Administrator) and are encountering the following issues:

• The third party download link for one of the prerequisite for patch manager WIndowsUpdateAGent20-x86.exe was changed by Microsoft and pointed towards WIndowsUpdateAGent30-x86.exe. This doesn’t work with Afaria unless the name is changed to 20. [REF 30078*]

• When running Patch Manager channels, the data file from the Patch Manager Scan (CPM) was sent back every other connection instead of every connection. The Patch Manager Channel ran every connection. The CPM file was being created and was placed in the Outbox folder on the client. However, the ChannelAlertsMoveEvent was not running on every connection. It was possibly not waiting long enough to see if the CPM file was being created. [REF 17104*]

• Running an empty Patch Manager channel did not reliably return the installed patch list from Windows 32 clients. [REF 21005*]

• During a Patch Manager scan, after reporting successful scans, but before the compare line, clients experienced lost links. Once in this situation, clients were broken. [REF 28044*]
